Born and raised in the South West region of Cameroon, Rudey started his music career in the early 2000s producing for artists like D clair now known as Daphné, Email, Doctor pylon, among others and directing videos and movies for several artists and actors respectively.
He decided to step into the spotlight as a rapper in 2016, with his hit single Dotilaso featuring former XLM squad member and 2004 canal d’or winner Email. That same year he continued by dropping numerous freestyles and directing videos and movies under Miss Lee production.
Based in Jonkoping, Sweden the prolific rapper has released several songs under his own indie label Dalast music, such as Smile, soldier, stand fine, upside, Mr. officer, Mean Culpa and a series of freestyles. He also ventures into movies and videos under Dalast Media.
His official body of work Mental restriction EP and Thoughts of a migrant EP, was critically acclaimed and potrayed a combination of vibes, maturity and context for the young generation, on the other had, percieved with nostalgia and content for the older generation.
Rudey Dalast is starting the year with a Rap up of main events that took place in 2021 in the Cameroon entertainment industry. An initiative which should be applauded and encouraged.
